Digitizing LATAM water infrastructure & Korea's AI Ladder First Two Partnerships to Digitize Latin America’s Water Infrastructure |
|
|
GDIN has reached a critical milestone in facilitating the IDB-backed ‘Aqua Connect’ initiative, in partnership with K-water. Following a rigorous evaluation of 23 joint proposals by local utility providers, two premier LAC-KOR partnerships have been officially selected to execute localized Proof-of-Concept projects in Ecuador and Peru. Backed by up to $80,000 in funding for a one-year deployment, these alliances will seamlessly integrate Korean deep-tech with local operational frameworks to resolve pressing water infrastructure bottlenecks.

💡 Demand-Driven Expansion: 3 Additional Teams to be Onboarded
Driven by intense interest from regional water authorities and the high technical maturity of the proposed solutions, IDB has decided to expand the initial scope of the project. To address further localized operational demands across the region, three additional LAC-KOR partnerships will be onboarded in the near future.
"The Aqua Connect program proves that Korean deep-tech can directly resolve systemic infrastructure challenges in global markets when paired with the right local partners," stated Jongkap Kim, CEO of GDIN. "By facilitating these targeted PoC deployments, we are validating a scalable, software-defined blueprint for smart water management across Latin America."

MetaDx: Setting the New Standard for AI-Driven Veterinary Care |
|
|
Veterinary medicine has long struggled with fragmented clinical data, prohibitively expensive diagnostic equipment, and reactive care models—frequently resulting in late-stage disease detection and heightened legal risks during medical procedures. MetaDx, GDIN’s newly onboarded pet healthcare AI partner, is addressing these systemic constraints by constructing an integrated digital ecosystem for veterinary hospitals. Through its 'Project SEAMLESS' platform, MetaDx unifies blood-based AI screening, automated practice management systems (PMS), and clinical data workflows to transition animal care from reactive treatment to data-driven preventive health.
🛰️ High-Precision AI Diagnostics: Early Screening via 'CancerVET'
At the core of MetaDx’s diagnostic suite is 'CancerVET,' a blood-based canine cancer screening platform. By combining Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) with proprietary machine learning algorithms, CancerVET extracts and evaluates volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and metabolite profiles from just 1.5 mL of blood. Delivering actionable results within 5 days, the platform achieves over 95% clinical accuracy and 93% sensitivity—dramatically reducing the cost and turnaround time associated with traditional liquid biopsies and genomic sequencing.
🤖 Streamlining the Clinic Workflow: 'VitalVET' & Project SEAMLESS
MetaDx integrates directly into daily hospital operations to eliminate friction points for veterinarians:
-
VitalVET: An AI-driven SaaS platform that predicts anesthesia risk by automatically calculating American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status grades from patient EMR and blood panel data. It generates visual risk reports, automated digital consent forms, and integrated insurance coverage, effectively mitigating anesthesia malpractice risks while saving up to 15 minutes per case.
-
Comprehensive Preventive Pipeline: MetaDx is broadening its R&D pipeline with 'TraceVET' for post-operative minimal residual disease (MRD) monitoring, 'ChronicVET' for predicting chronic kidney and cardiac disease progression, and 'BloodWORKS' for automated routine health checkup reports.
📊 Validated Market Traction and Regional Footprint
MetaDx is demonstrating rapid commercialization and cross-border scalability across Asia. Backed by strategic partnerships with major domestic pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and financial institutions the company secured over 100 partner clinics within just five months of its product launch. Furthermore, demonstrating robust unit economics and an effective soft-landing strategy, MetaDx’s international Joint Venture in Thailand achieved operational BEP within three months, establishing a validated commercial blueprint to capture Asia’s expanding veterinary market.
